Newsletter no. 5 with the activities implemented during the period August – October 2014 in the framework of ECO-AGRI project
During the implementation period August 2014 – October 2014, in the frame of the project “Sharing Collectively the Competences of the Researchers to the Farmers for a Sustainable and Ecological Exploitation of The Agricultural and Environment Protection ECO-AGRI”, there was organized The Final Training in Republic of Armenia in August 2014, held by ENPI Partner 2 - Yerevan State University, training that closed the 4 training sessions organised in the project.
During 21 – 24 August 2014 in a conference hall from Armavir city, took place the FOURTH TRAINING IN REPUBLIC OF ARMENIA which was held by 2 Armenian trainers and 1 trainer from Romania. At the event participated 30 farmers from Armenia.
First day: 21st August 2014

After the registration of the participants, Mr. Gurgen Aleksanyan, project coordinator from Republic of Armenia along with Ms. Maria Nastac, Project Coordinator and Mr. Lyova Aleksanyan, director of the regional Centre Agricultural Support of the Armavir region, welcomed all the guests and invited the present farmers to complete the pre training questionnaires. The pre training questionnaires contain questions regarding the knowledge of the farmers about the ecological agriculture that is practiced in Republic of Moldova and also about the type of fertilizers usually used in their farms.
The first presentation of the training was held by PhD. H. Movsisyan, from Yerevan State University, who spoke about the fertilization plan and the methods for a good agricultural practice.
The training day ended with a short session of questions and answers.

Second day: 22nd August 2014

The second day of training was opened by Mr. Gurgen Aleksanyan who said a few words to the participants and then invited Mrs. Prof. univ. dr. Ticuta Negreanu-Pirjol to make her presentation.
Mrs. Prof. univ. Negreanu - Pirjol spoke about a patentedorganic biocomposite fertilizer made from marine algae biomass and residual sludge resulting from wastewater treatment plants which can be used in organic agriculture
The farmers were very interested in the subject presented and had many questions regarding the ecological fertilizers that are used by Romanian farmers.

Third day: 23rd August 2014

During the third day of training, after the registration of the participants, Mr. Gurgen Aleksanyan held a short opening speech and then invited Mr. PhD. H. Movsisyan from Yerevan State University to take the word.
Mr. PhD. Movsisyan presented the study about the fertilization plan and the good agricultural practices that are used in Turkey and Republic of Moldova.
The presentation was very interesting for the Armenian farmers who had questions about the fertilizers used in Turkey and Moldova.

Fourth day: August 24, 2014

15:40 -16:10 – Completing the post- trainings questionnaire.
16:10 -16:45 – Presentation of certificates to farmers.
During the last day of training the farmers watched video clips about the organic farming experiences that were made in Republic of Armenia and in other countries. The experiences presented in the clips were very useful for the farmers and for the agriculture they practice in their own farms.
The fourth training session ended with a short session of questions and answers. The participants congratulated the organizers for their work, their support and their excellent idea of organizing such training with the theme of agriculture and agricultural pollution.
At the end of the training day, the farmers were asked to complete the post – training questionnaires and were handed the certificates of participation.

Also, during this implementing period, there were created and edited the final bilingual prospects with 400 pages containing all the information and examples of good practice from the ecological agriculture from the four guides that were created and distributed during the four training sessions.
The ECOAGRI project will finish with a Final Workshop that will be organised in Romania, when all the project partners will meet for the last time and will discuss about the results achieved during 24 months of implementations along with a future collaboration of the consortium on different financing programmes. Representants from mass media and the academic and agricultural institutions will also participate to this last event of the project.
